About this policy
MTT ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who we share it with and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the messages you send us through it.
Who we are
This website is run by Multimedia Technology Trading W.L.L. (MTT), Office 02, Block 31, Al Furousiya Street 900, Muaither, Doha, Qatar. We decide how the personal information collected through it is used. For any question about your privacy, write to us at info@mttqatar.com.
What we collect
- What you send us. When you fill in a form on this site — to send a message, ask for a quote, book a visit or an appointment, or sign up for our news — we receive what you enter: usually your name, phone number, email address and message, and any details the form asks for, such as your company, your location or the service you need.
- Job applications. When you apply for a job, we receive your CV and the details in your application.
- WhatsApp, phone and email. If you contact us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email, we receive your number or address and what you tell us. WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp (Meta) under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Visit statistics. To count how many people read each page, the site records the page you opened, the site that sent you to it, the language you read it in and the kind of device you use (computer, phone or tablet). So that one person reading a page several times in a day counts once, it also uses your IP address together with the date. We do not use this to identify you, and there is no advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Technical information. Like any website, the servers that deliver this site receive your IP address and browser details in order to send you the pages and protect the site from abuse. When you send a form, your IP address is kept with it to help us stop spam.
Cookies and settings kept in your browser
This site does not use advertising cookies. It keeps a few small settings in your browser so that it remembers them on your next visit: the light or dark look you chose, any notice you closed and, where the site asks, your cookie choice. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
Some pages show content from other services, such as a map or a video. When you view it, that service may receive your IP address and set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.
Why we use it
- to answer your message, prepare the quote you asked for, arrange the visit or appointment you booked, and follow up with you about it;
- to consider your job application;
- to send you the news you signed up for — you can ask us to stop at any time;
- to understand which pages are read, so that we can improve the site;
- to keep the site secure and to meet our legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
Our legal basis, in plain words
We use your information because you asked us to (for example, by sending a form or applying for a job), because we need it to give you a quote or to work with you, because we have a fair business reason that does not override your rights (such as keeping the site secure and counting visits), or because the law requires it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose you gave it for — to answer your request and to serve you as a customer — and then for any longer period the law requires, for example for accounting records. After that we delete it or make it anonymous. You can ask us to delete your CV at any time.
Who we share it with
- the service providers that host this website and the business software we use to handle enquiries, who act on our instructions, under contract and confidentiality, and only to provide that service to us;
- the email and messaging services that deliver our messages to you;
- our professional advisers, and the authorities where the law requires it or to protect our rights.
Our service providers may store information in data centres outside the State of Qatar. Wherever it is kept, we require it to be protected to the standard the law of the State of Qatar requires.
Your rights
Under Qatar’s Law No. 13 of 2016 on the Protection of Personal Data Privacy, you may:
- ask what personal information we hold about you, and receive a copy;
- ask us to correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete it when we no longer need it;
- withdraw your consent, or object to our use of your information, including for marketing;
- be told how and why we use it.
To use any of these rights, write to us at info@mttqatar.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act, and we answer as soon as we can, within the time the law allows. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the competent authority in the State of Qatar.
How we protect it
We protect your information with reasonable technical and organisational measures: the site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and only the people who need your information to do their work can see it. No way of sending or storing information is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we act promptly if something goes wrong.
Children
This site is meant for adults. If you are a parent or guardian and send us information about your child — for example, to ask about a place, a service or an appointment — we use it only for that request and protect it with extra care. If you believe a child has sent us information without your permission, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or the law changes. The date at the top shows when it last changed; the version on this page is the one that applies.
